On Oct. 13th podcast co-host Cory Nott and I were thrilled to interview Dale Marie Golden, vice president at Bridge Bank in Oakland and someone who exemplifies the “gold standard” for business and community leadership in the City of Oakland and beyond. Dale Marie shared her many insights on how she continues to thrive during COVID-19, her personal and professional story and why she believes it is particularly important to give back to the community during these challenging times. It comes down to keeping a positive “attitude” Dale Marie says, who demonstrates the often forgotten point that to help others we first need to help and take care of ourselves, which in turn increases our capacity to help others. I commended Dale Marie for serving as an inspiring “role model” during a time when we need good role models the most. Specifically, she has built an impressive career as a bank at Bridge Bank, now serving as vice president, but has leveraged that success to give back to the community in a myriad of ways including serving on the board of Leadership Oakland, helping non-profits raise money during these times, inspiring, mentoring and helping other business owners. Dale Marie “walks the talk” every week at her business networking chapter that she helped created more than 10 years ago with Eloise Middleton, who we were fortunate enough to have join us on the broadcast as well. Middleton spoke very highly of Dale Marie, and is also one of Oakland’s top producing business and community leaders, having helped many people of color buy homes and get into the intimidating East Bay real estate market. Middleton has posted some impressive sales numbers recently, that are literally off the charts in terms of production and results provided for her clients. Eloise can be reached at www.homesbyeloise.com or via phone at (510) 386-0547. Co-host Cory Nott, who also banks with Dale Marie, provided a first-hand testimonial for Dale Marie, noting her great customer service and what a pleasure she is to work with. Cory also went through the Leadership Oakland program, which Dale Marie is a part of and recommends it to any aspiring business and political leaders in the City of Oakland. Keep an eye out for future podcast segments on Leadership Oakland. This was a powerful interview and we want to thank Dale Marie for being a beacon of hope, opportunity and genuine good spirits during a time when everyone needs this the most. Dale Marie also spoke very highly of Bridge Bank for a great slate of business services, customer service, and ensuring that the benefits it provides return to the local communities and economies from which they came, and that’s why many non-profits and other Oakland business leaders bank with Dale Marie—who truly is the “gold standard” for not only business banking in Oakland, but also business and community leadership. And we are all grateful for that. We look forward to keeping in touch with her and hopefully having her back on the broadcast at some point. If you are a business owner or entrepreneur in the East Bay Area, we highly recommend reaching out to Dale Marie Golden for help with your business and personal banking needs. You can find Dale Marie Golden on LinkedIn at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dale-marie-golden-484b506/ Or call her business line at (510) 899-7500. And please do not hesitate to reach out to co-host Cory Nott or I for a personal referral and introduction to Dale Marie and all that she can do for you and the banking needs that you and your business have. Perhaps the best way to catch up with both Dale Marie and Eloise Middleton is to visit their BNI chapter called “Visions of Exchange” which meets every Tuesday morning at 7am. Jake is one of those people who has had a big influence on my recent personal development by introducing me to the world NLP and the teachings of key innovators in the field such as Milton H. Erickson, Richard Bandler and John Grinder. There is so much power and insights locked up in these teachings, that if harnessed and practiced can definitely help generate a quantum leap in your business and professional life. We only touched on the tip of the iceberg in this interview, and I definitely suggest reaching out to Jake to discuss how he can take you deeper and use these insights to help you overcome obstacles in your business. Co-host Cory Nott actually went through Jake’s business NLP training and has incorporated a number of his teachings into his coaching practice. And I have seen how beneficial this knowledge is to coaching and business development—invaluable and holds a huge competitive advantage that can set you apart from the competition. My suggestion is to book a consultation with Jake to discuss his NLP business training and also consider scheduling individual sessions with Jake where he can take you through some of his exercises to help you overcome any perceived obstacles in your path and teach you how to begin to use your mind to generate the results you want. Jake is putting on a seminar on how to use self-hypnosis to create the results you want through the Berkeley Adult School on November 7th from 10-11:30am. To register click here. Jake can be reached via email at: [email protected] and phone at (707) 490-4051. Check out Jake on LinkedIn at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jakeralston ### |
