In this episode, co-host Cory Nott and I interview African Safari guide Phil Bennett regarding what is going on with international travel during COVID-19 and what his plans are for future safaris in 2021.
In this interview we discuss the impressive safari trips that Phil offers such as the “great migration,” his story and experience as well as his conservation efforts and public speaking career. Phil is an expert African Safari guide who has guided safaris for more than 20 years in key regions in Africa. He specializes in customized trips that take participants into the outback on walking tours to see the animals in their natural habitat and leverages his contacts on the continent to give participants a unique experience that departs from many preconceived notions about safaris. Phil is also an avid conservationist who give regular talks on conservation in Africa around the Bay Area and beyond. You can book him as a speaker at your local community organization or Rotary Club. One thing I really appreciate about Phil is his outlook on safaris which is one of great respect for the environment and natural habitat and belief that humans should leave the environment the same or better as they initially found it. In this vein, he sets a great example and serves as a role model for exploring the continent as a respectful visitor, guide and conservationist, who seeks to protect and conserve. Phil is current scheduling trips for early 2021 and can develop a customized trip for you and your family or business colleagues based on your unique needs and desires. To get in touch with Phil you can visit his website at www.onsafari-in.com or email him at [email protected] or call him at (813) 330-1819. Phil is originally from Bristol, England and moved to the states several years ago to pursue his safari business and public speaking career on conservation issues. He is married and expecting a baby soon. ###

In this episode, co-host Cory Nott and I interview Nancy Williams to assess the benefits of print advertising in her new Oakland-based franchise publication titled “Money Pages,” which provides top quality monthly advertising and coupons for Oakland-based businesses. Nancy Williams has a background in helping entrepreneurs, particularly women, start and run successful franchise business, and now recently bought her own franchise called “Money Pages,” which is a national company that operates in various markets around the country. Nancy purchased the Oakland edition of “Money Pages” and has been reaching out to Oakland-based businesses (i.e. real estate, health & wellness, restaurants) about advertising in the publication to reach an initial 75,000 Oakland-based households who earn in excess of $65,000 annually. Cory Nott and I concluded that the publication provides “a lot of bang for the buck” for advertising and marketing dollars spent during COVID-19. In particular, Nancy stated that perhaps the focus of advertising has swung too far in direction of the digital realm, which has created a big opportunity for top-quality print advertising in a publication such as “Money Pages.” In short, there is so little quality print advertising out there, that the print advertising out there can really stand out and help businesses reach their customers more effectively and at lower cost than utilizing digital platforms. I suggested that this has possibly become more evident in recent years as digital users become less clear who their digital advertising is reaching, and many of the statistics on digital platforms can be either inflated, unreliable or just plain ineffective such as views, engagement, and video views. Nancy has also stated that she has some very interesting plans for the future of the publication such as profiling Oakland business districts, businesses and other items of interest to the Oakland community. To get in touch with Nancy Williams to find out more about how to advertise in Money Pages or about her future plans for the publication feel free to reach out to her via email at [email protected] or phone at (510) 455-2204. ###

In this episode my esteemed co-host Cory Nott and I interview business and personal success coach Pradnya Leitner to discuss how to generate a quantum leap for your business and professional life during COVID-19. Pradnya is the “best in the business” in the Bay Area when it comes to mindset practices which form the foundation of personal and business success. This Quantum Leap interview was the second of a two part interview which began with Pradnya’s live broadcast on the Ripple Effect Live with guest co-host Terri Wade. To view that earlier episode click here (see Episode #2, 8/25/20): https://www.davidmkersten.com/the-ripple-effect-2020.html As my business coach, and the coach of many successful entrepreneurs in the Bay Area and beyond. And Pradnya was a key big inspiration behind the creation of this podcast. In this podcast, Pradnya dives deeper into this concept of a “quantum leap” to explain the mechanics and how to begin generating a quantum leap in your life. The concept starts from the premise that most people are only using less than 10% of their capacity for success and the path forward lies in unlocking this untapped potential. “There is infinite potential within us,” Pradnya says, and the power lies in finding out how to unlock and utilize that potential in our lives. That starts with changing limiting beliefs, our paradigms, and other habits and bad mindsets that hold us back and sabotage our potential for success. I provide the analogy or metaphor that most people are gifted the equivalent of a “rocketship” which can fly them to the moon, or further, but they never find out how to fly the “rocketship” and spend most of their time on the landing pad, despite the great potential to accomplish much better things. Pradnya compares her teachings to providing an “instruction manual” for how to unlock our untapped potential and generate the results in our lives that we have always wanted, which is indeed a quantum leap for many who she has taught and continues to teach. We also discuss some of the differences in business coaching, and what makes Pradnya unique in the field. Jesse Schmidt is Liam's fitness protege and brings a unique energy and perspective to physical training that really resonated with us and our audience. As a team, Jesse and Liam have "pivoted" their business during COVID-19 to offer virtual training sessions and fitness packages. Dale Marie Golden, a banker with Bridge Bank, joined the live broadcast to provide a testimonial for Truth Not Trends, having just competed a workout with them earlier that morning. Dale Marie said the work out helped her feel great and provide the peace of mind that helped her close a major bank loan deal later that same morning.
